Destination Halifax Hosts Educational Session on Show Your Badge Program

Destination Halifax will be hosting a Café 101 Educational Session on the Show Your Badge Convention Delegate Appreciation Program. This program is designed to promote retailers, restaurants, tours & transportation and activities and attractions to visiting conference attendees and help you reach a new audience of customers.

The Café 101 on Show Your Badge will take place on Wednesday October 7th at the Grafton Street Dinner Theatre on the 3rd floor. Registration is at 1:15pm. The event begins at 1:30pm and goes until 3:00pm. Topics in this session will include general information on the program, ideas on how to get more Meeting & Convention Delegates through your door, empowering your staff to provide great delegate experiences and storefront signage.

CIBC Run for the Cure – Sunday October 4th

On Sunday October 4th the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation will be hosting their CIBC Run for the Cure! This is a large 5K and 1K event with over 4,000 participants. Please be advised that this will be a rolling street closure with police controlling major intersections. The run begins at 10:00am at the Garrisson Grounds and will be concluded by 11:30am.

Here are the routes for both races:

5K – east on Sackville Street, south on Brunswick Street, west on Spring Garden Road, south on Queen Street, west on Morris/University, north on Summer Street, east on Bell Rd, north on Ahern Avenue, east on Cogswell Street, south on Brunswick Street, west on Sackville Street finishing on Bell Road.

1K – west on Sackville St, north on Summer Street, Southeast on Bell to finish.
